Your annual sponsorship of a hole directly contributes to the chemical and fertilizer fund, and thereby to the beauty and function of the course.  In acknowledgement of your company’s generous support,  your company’s plaque is handsomely displayed in a beautiful setting where members and open players are reminded of your company’s commitment to the community, and the beneficial influence of your business, on our quality of life. 

Several holes are presently available to be sponsored.  It would be great to see more businesses in the area participate.  Open players played 4319 rounds of golf during the past fiscal year.  Whenever one of these players or one of our members sees your company logo elsewhere, they are more likely to think, “ There is an old friend.”

Having been a citizen of Fort Bend County for over 40 years, involved in the real estate industry for most of that time, it has truly been exciting to be involved in the transformation of Fort Bend County from a rural agricultural county into a beautiful and growing suburb of the fourth largest city in America. It has also been a delight to watch as industry after industry and business after business have moved here and helped to create our own vibrant and growing economy.

In 1975, I established Joseph B. Benes & Associates, a real estate appraisal firm. My son Michael joined my firm in 1992 after graduating from college. Together in 2000 we established Benes Realty Interests, a full service brokerage firm, and in 2006 our company joined the worldwide network of ERA franchise offices and became ERA Benes Realty.

I was born in Houston and have done business in the greater Houston area as a builder, banker, Realtor and appraiser. My background gives me the ability to provide knowledgeable service to anyone who is buying or selling in any part of the Greater Houston area. Of course my expertise is greatest in my community of Fort Bend County and southwest Houston.

Over the years my interest in our community has led me to membership in many organizations including the Rose Rich Jaycees, the Rosenberg Rotary Club, both the Rose Rich and the Fort Bend Chambers of Commerce, Lamar Little League and Boy Scouts of America. I am a past director of TW Davis Park (now TW Davis YMCA) and have served on the board of the Fort Bend Central Appraisal District. My wife Barbara and I are members of St Johns United Methodist Church in Richmond, and both of us are currently serving on the board of the church.

We have been active in fund raising for the Fort Bend County Museum for many years, and we are life members and corporate sponsors of the Fort Bend County Fair Association.

We are proud of our involvement in our church and in our community over the years. Our reputation is one of service to our community, integrity in our relationships, and honesty in our business. I will always work to help make my community a great place to live, work and play, but I will never be too busy to serve your real estate needs, and I promise to ALWAYS BE THERE FOR YOU!

 Gary Gillen is one of our newest stock members, but the club has been doing business with Gillen Pest Control for several years.  We have been impressed with their steadfast focus on service and now we are very grateful for their generous sponsorship of hole number 12, a 467-yard, Par 5, which is just one more indication of their willingness to go the distance.

No one knows the great feeling of having a hole sponsorship sign on the Fort Bend Country Club Golf Course, better than those who already do.  We encourage the businesses and other organizations of Fort Bend County to join with Fort Bend Country Club and the greater community, in this special way.  Hole sponsors are recognized with a 12" x 24" sign, bearing their logo and company name, located on the tee box of their sponsored hole.  This webpage also will recognize our sponsors and assist them to communicate with our members and community.
