Our beautiful ballroom which can accommodate 250 guests, is the setting
for a number of member events, including holiday buffets, luncheons,
dinner dances and fashion shows. The ballroom also offers a wonderful,
open view of the swimming pool and the landscaped grounds. For smaller,
more intimate settings, the dining room, bar and card room provide a cozy
atmosphere for any type of event from formal parties and to casual
get-togethers.

The most inspiring view of any restaurant in Fort Bend County is at
Fort Bend Country Club, home of The Flying Pig Café.

Bang for your buck
Teri Mathis enjoys The Flying Pig Cafe (2627 FM 762, Richmond, in the
Fort Bend Country Club).
It’s “known around here for the owner’s special touches,” Mathis says.
“Her corned beef is wondrous, as are her desserts and regular menu items.
As I enjoyed the broad view of the mature golf course through the huge
windows, my chalupas were delivered, the flavor and freshness
unbelievable for such a mundane lunch item. The price is what one would
expect at a low-end place, but the service, ambiance, quality and
quantity of food is quite the opposite.”
